X closed in Pakistan
Microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) has been shut down in Pakistan. On Saturday (February 10), the country's cyber security and monitoring agency NetBlocks reported this news in the Pakistani media The Dawn report. The country's authorities took such a decision two days after the national elections.
In a message, the company said, Sure: Live metrics are showing, nationwide X/Twitter outcry. The incident took place two days after the controversial election with mobile and internet services suspended.
Some X users have reported that they are unable to access X through normal internet. They have to use VPN to access X.
Imran Khan's political party Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) reacted strongly to the suspension of X services. General elections were held in the country last Thursday, February 8.
